A workplace comedy that follows the group of Spanish-speakers in 1930s Hollywood that, using the same script, sets, and even wardrobe of Bela Lugosi’s Dracula, they filmed the same movie, but in Spanish.

When a not-so-successful stand up comedian has to move in with his mother who has been diagnosed with dementia, he has to learn how to cope with that new reality and the problems and responsibilities it carries as he finds out he can use that to grow his career and his love for his mom.

Based on the book by Benjamin Alire Sáenz, set in 1987 El Paso, it's the tale of two teenage Mexican-American loners as they explore their friendship and the difficult road to self-discovery.
