Apple TV+ has renewed the bilingual comedy series Acapulco for a fourth season, becoming one of few latinx-led TV shows to reach a fourth season.

The Imagen Foundation announced today the nominations for the 39th annual Imagen Awards. This year’s awards recognize an array of Latino talent with ground-breaking performances, storytelling, and powerful diverse programs. Acapulco received the most nomintions among programs with nine nominations. In total, 3Pas Studios received 15 nominations.

Mexican multi-hyphenate Eugenio Derbez, is taking on his first dramatic lead role in a series, Prime Video’s “El Juicio.”, starring alongside “Money Heist’s” Pedro Alonso, Karla Gaytán (“ El amor invincible”) and Iker Sánchez Solano (“Bardo”) in the eight-part series inspired by a real-life crime case.

Following its box office success in Mexico and the United States, the film enjoyed a prominent 10-week run in theaters in Ecuador and Colombia, as well as significant reception across over 100 screens in Spain.

ViX, the world’s leading Spanish-language streaming service, announced today that its new original movie, ES POR SU BIEN, will premiere on June 21 on its premium plan. Consuelo Duval, Kate del Castillo, and Mónica Huarte star in the hilarious comedy that also features José Eduardo Derbez, Michael Ronda, and Sebastián García.

The first look images of Eugenio Derbez as Dracula in the highly-anticipated series "Y Llegaron de Noche" for ViX were released. The series is inspired by true events and it gives a behind-the-scenes look at the group of underdogs who went on to create the critically acclaimed Spanish version of the 1930 horror classic, Dracula.

Acapulco returns for its eagerly awaited third season, and the bilingual comedy set on the Mexican beach resort of Las Colinas, promises fans a blend of humor, family dynamics, and an engaging storyline with some big changes and fresh faces.

ViX, the world’s leading Spanish-language streaming service, announced today that the exclusive channel for the whole family, DERBEZ EN ViX will premiere on the service’s free plan this April 11. DERBEZ EN ViX is a collection of hit television shows created by Eugenio Derbez.

The Mexican comedy-drama Radical by Christopher Zalla and starring Eugenio Derbez nabbed the Grand Jury Fiction Award. Jury members Marnie Blok, Fatih Abay and Elaheh Nobakht stated they were “unanimous” in their choice, celebrating the performances of the young cast and “addressed issues such as social class, gender, authority, inclusion and empowerment in a superior mix of humor and emotions”.
